CHANDLER, AZ – According to an update from the Arizona Department of Transportation, a cable barrier was damaged after a hydroplaning crash that happened on I-10 on Thursday.

The collision took place around 7:45 p.m. on the eastbound lanes along Wildhorse Pass Boulevard. Based on what our news team knows so far, it appears that the driver lost control of their car due to hydroplaning. The car crashed into a cable barrier, resulting in the damage.

AzDOT crews said the collision blocked several lanes of traffic, leading to closures that lasted until nearly 8:30 p.m.
