SEDONA, AZ – According to ABC 15, troopers are investigating a fatal head-on collision that happened on AZ 179 NB near Sedona on Sunday.
A driver was heading north on AZ 179 when they strayed into oncoming traffic and collided with a southbound vehicle head-on around 12:30 a.m.
Rescue crews pronounced both drivers dead at the scene and transported a passenger from the southbound vehicle to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities believe impairment was a factor in the wreck.
