PHOENIX, AZ – A collision involving a Tempe police transport van sent three inmates to the hospital Wednesday morning, according to a KPNX report.
The crash occurred in the area of E. Buckeye Road and 7th Street in downtown Phoenix at about 8 a.m. The van was transporting nine inmates from the 4th Avenue jail to the Tempe City Jail. Another driver failed to yield while turning left and collided with the van.
The three inmates were taken to an area hospital as a precaution, but no one was seriously injured in the accident.
