PHOENIX, AZ – According to 12 News, an alleged impaired driver was driving around 140 mph on I-10 near N 39th Ave when he fatally collided with a motorcyclist on Sunday.
Andrew Ramirez Perez struck Craig Cooper, 42, around 1:17 a.m. Perez then drove another mile before his vehicle caught on fire.
Paramedics transported Cooper to an area hospital, where he died.
Authorities arrested Perez. They believe he may have been impaired.
