News: Suspected impaired driver hits, kills boy in Avondale

AVONDALE, AZ – An alleged impaired driver fatally collided with an 11-year-old boy at N 107th Ave and Thomas Rd on Monday, according to AZFamily.

The driver hit a boy riding an electric scooter around 5 p.m.

First responders transported the boy to an area hospital, where he died.

Following the collision, the driver remained at the scene. Authorities arrested him on suspicion of DUI.
