News: Single-car crash near Phoenix airport kills 1, hurts 1

PHOENIX, AZ – A woman died, and a man suffered critical injuries when their vehicle crashed along a Phoenix roadway early Monday morning, reports azcentral.

Police say the incident happened around 3:45 a.m. near the intersection of South 16th Street and East Mohave Street, which is just northeast of Barrios Unidos Park.

The investigation indicates that a northbound vehicle veered off of 16th street for unknown reasons and crashed into a tree.

A female occupant from the vehicle died at the scene of the crash.

Medics transported a male occupant to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
