PHOENIX, AZ – According to CBS 5, the Phoenix Police Department is investigating a deadly three-vehicle collision that happened on Greenway Rd near N 44th St on Friday.
Jaime Trevino, 26, was driving west on Greenway Rd when he strayed into the eastbound lane and hit an SUV. The SUV driver then collided with a third vehicle.
Emergency crews extricated three people from the SUV and transported them to an area hospital. They pronounced Trevino dead at the scene.
The occupants of the third vehicle fled the area before authorities arrived.
It is unclear if impairment played a role in the crash.
