PHOENIX, AZ – According to CBS 5, the Phoenix Police Department is investigating a fatal auto vs. pedestrian collision that happened near S 35th Ave and W Baseline Rd on Friday.
The driver hit Jaylynn James, 21, as James was walking outside a marked crosswalk around 3:45 a.m.
Following the collision, the driver stayed at the scene.
Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash.
