News: Phoenix PD investigates fatal two-vehicle collision on Cave Creek Rd.

PHOENIX, AZ – Phoenix police are investigating the details behind a two-vehicle collision that led to a man’s death and injured a woman Friday.

AZ Family said the collision happened around 9 a.m. at the intersection of Cave Creek Road and East Sweetwater Avenue in the Cave Creek neighborhood. Police suspect that the male motorcyclist had crashed into a brick wall, a street light pole, and a vehicle driven by the woman.

EMS crews hurried to the scene and transported the man and woman to a hospital. There, the man died from his injuries, and the woman received treatment for minor injuries.

Officers blocked the intersection for a few hours for the investigation and clean-up process.

Police confirmed the driver was not impaired. Officers are actively working to determine the exact cause of the crash and have not released additional information, including the victim’s identity.
