News: Pedestrian vs. auto crash kills 1 at 28th and Broadway

PHOENIX, AZ – A 58-year-old man died Wednesday evening after a vehicle struck him at a busy intersection in southeast Phoenix, reports Fox 10 Phoenix.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. near South 28th Street and Broadway Road, which is just south of the Salt River.

The investigation indicates that a westbound vehicle struck the victim as he attempted to cross Broadway in the middle of the road. The vehicle then left the scene of the accident.

Authorities identified the victim as Andrew Salazar.
