AVONDALE, AZ – A pedestrian’s life was claimed in a collision that took place on Buckeye Road along 107th Avenue on Tuesday, 12News said.
Maricopa County deputies pulled up to the scene at 2:30 a.m. and said the pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle.
Deputies shut down Buckeye Road between 103rd and 107th Avenue for the scene-clean-up process and investigation. Commuters can expect closures for several hours and are encouraged to avoid the area and seek out alternative routes in the meantime.
Deputies confirmed the driver stayed at the scene and have not announced any charges at this time.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
