TEMPE, AZ – Officials have released the name of the bicyclist who died after being struck by a U-haul driver near N McClintock Dr and E Curry Rd on April 21, according to AZ Family.
The U-haul driver was on northbound N McClintock Dr when it turned into a private drive near E Curry Rd and collided with Diana Piastowski, 60, as she rode her bicycle on the sidewalk.
Rescue crews pronounced PIastowski dead at the scene around 6 p.m.
Following the collision, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the incident.
