PEORIA, AZ – A collision involving a van and a motorcycle along the highway in Peoria killed more than one person Saturday morning, reports Fox 10 Phoenix.
Police say the incident happened around 9 a.m. at milepost 25 on State Route 74, which is near both New River Road and Lake Pleasant Parkway.
Details of the crash remain unclear at this time, but authorities say there were multiple fatalities.
Officials closed State Route 74, or the Carefree Highway, in both directions for several hours while crews investigated and cleared the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
