News: Motorcyclist killed in Tempe intersection collision

TEMPE, AZ – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a FedEx truck at the intersection of S. Kyrene Rd. and W. Elliot Rd. on Saturday morning.

According to local reporting, a FedEx truck was traveling east on W. Elliot Rd. and hit a westbound motorcycle when it attempted to turn north onto S. Kyrene Rd. The fatal accident occurred around 6 a.m.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the crash scene.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing but local authorities report impairment doesn’t appear to be a factor.
