News: Mesa PD ID’s victim in fatal head-on crash along Alma Gardens 

MESA, AZ – Mesa Police have identified the name of the victim who was killed in a head-on crash that happened along Alma Gardens on Tuesday.

This comes as an update in connection with our previous reporting. Police told 12News that the victim was 32-year-old Ethan Reedy.

New information reveals a pickup truck and an industrial vehicle crashed head-on off West Broadway Road and South Nina Drive (near Extension Roads).

The pickup truck became trapped underneath the industrial vehicle. Reedy appeared to be one of the entrapped or pinned individuals who was extricated, but unfortunately died from his injuries at the scene.

Officials confirmed that the driver of the industrial vehicle was hospitalized with serious injuries. Authorities do expect them to survive.

It is not immediately clear what led to the head-on collision. However, we will be sure to add updates if and when more details come to light.
