News: Man seriously hurt in truck-car crash in Phoenix’s Laurelwood

PHOENIX, AZ – One male passenger sustained serious, life-threatening injuries as a result of a truck-car crash that happened in the Laurelwood area on Friday.

The collision occurred after 11 p.m. at the intersection of 75th Avenue and Thomas Road, according to 12News. The force of the collision entrapped a male passenger inside the car, who was extricated by fire crews.

Once the extrication was completed, an ambulance rushed the male passenger to a hospital for treatment of serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Phoenix Police conducted a field sobriety test on the car driver, but did not confirm whether impairment was a contributing factor behind the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
