News: Man sentenced for fatal crash near Paradise Valley Manor in 2022

PHOENIX, AZ – A man was sentenced on Feb. 9 for a fatal crash that happened near N 38th St and E Greenway Rd on Jan. 1, 2022, according to 12 News.

Jaxon Collins, 20, was driving when he collided with a vehicle occupied by Crystal Garcia, 27, her husband, and three children around 12 a.m.

Authorities accused Collins of DUI and driving 89 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Collins pleaded guilty to manslaughter and aggravated assault. He was sentenced to seven years in prison and will be placed on supervised probation for five years once the sentence is completed.
