NORTH PEORIA, AZ – A 78-year-old man was killed in an SUV pin-in crash that happened along Trilogy Golf Club at Vistanica on Tuesday.
The incident unfolded before 10:30 a.m., AZ Family said. Phoenix Police determined that a Toyota RAV4 SUV rolled backwards and struck the 78-year-old man identified as Arnold Anderson, who was directly behind the vehicle.
Anderson was talking to a neighbor when he was struck. The impact of the collision left him pinned underneath the SUV.
Local fire crews extricated Anderson, who died from his injuries at the scene.
The neighbor who spoke to Anderson was left with minor injuries as a result of the crash.
No injuries, citations, or charges were reported for the SUV driver.
