NORTH PHOENIX, AZ – A 60-year-old male cyclist lost his life after he was struck by a vehicle south of Skunk Creek Linear Park Sunday.
AZ Family said the collision happened around 6 a.m. in the area of 51st Avenue and Wescott Drive and warranted a response from Phoenix police and EMS crews.
After arriving, ambulance personnel were transported. Officials suspect Larry Schnepp had either pushed his bicycle or was actually cycling when he was struck by the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene. It’s unclear if the driver was cited or would face criminal charges.
