News: Goodyear hit-and-run kills elderly man, dog

GOODYEAR, AZ – A 71-year-old man and his dog died Saturday morning when a hit-and-run driver struck them in north Goodyear, reports 12 News.

The incident happened around 9 a.m. near the intersection of North Bullard Avenue and West Catalina Drive, which is just southeast of Sunrise Park.

Authorities identified the victims as Thomas Stenoien and his dog, Judge.

Police arrested 24-year-old Joy Joyner in connection with the incident. Joyner faces charges of vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident.
