PHOENIX, AZ – According to AZ Family, four people were hurt when a man driving a stolen SUV crashed into another vehicle near W Union Hills Dr and N 19th Ave on April 27.
Joshua Wallis, 36, was driving a Jeep Patriot east on Union Hills Dr when he strayed into the eastbound lanes of traffic and collided with a Ford Explorer around 4 p.m.
Rescue crews transported Wallis’s front-seat passenger to an area hospital with a fractured neck and pelvis. They took the back-seat passenger to the hospital with life-threatening injuries to his head and neck. The driver of the Explorer, a 28-year-old woman, and her 6-year-old son were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities charged Wallis with two counts of endangerment and two counts of aggravated assault with serious injury and took him to jail.
