PHOENIX, AZ – According to 12 News, a driver fatally collided with a wall on southbound I-17 near Cactus Rd Sunday.
The male driver was heading south on I-17 when he hit the wall. His vehicle then caught on fire.
Emergency crews extricated the driver from the burning wreckage and transported him to an area hospital, where he died.
Authorities believe speed may have been a factor in the crash
Officials have not released the victim’s name.
The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the incident.
