TEMPE, AZ – According to AZ Family, a driver died following a two-vehicle collision at S 48th St and E Southern Ave on April 13.
A driver was heading east on E Southern Ave when they ran a red light and slammed into a southbound car around 12:30 a.m.
Rescue crews transported both drivers to an area hospital, where the driver who ran the red light died. The other driver suffered minor injuries.
Authorities believe speed and impairment may have played a role in the crash.
Officials have not released the drivers’s names.
