News: Deputies investigate fatal ATV crash in Douglas

DOUGLAS, AZ – The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal ATV crash that killed a U.S. Border Patrol Agent at Chino Rd and 5th St on Tuesday, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.

Freddy Ortiz, 44, was riding an ATV west on International Ave to respond to reports of illegal border activity when he strayed off the road and collided with a light patrol around 7:10 p.m.

Rescue crews transported Ortiz to an area hospital, where he died.
