PHOENIX, AZ – One person was sent to the hospital after a collision between a car and a semi-truck in the Maryvale area on Wednesday, AZFamily reports.
A Toyota sedan and a semi-truck collided around 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of North 35th Avenue and McDowell Road. The force of the crash left the sedan with significant damage and the driver with life-threatening injuries.
EMS crews took the sedan’s driver to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not say if the semi-truck driver was injured, and do not believe impairment was a contributing factor in the collision.
