PHOENIX, AZ – A man in his 20s lost his life after he was fatally struck by a big rig while lying on the road outside a Circle K gas station on Monday.
The collision occurred around 4 a.m. off the intersection of East Van Buren Street and 44th Street, according to Arizona Family.
Firefighters were the primary first responders and declared the man dead at the scene. Officials did not say why the man was lying on the floor. Authorities also did not disclose the man’s name.
The truck driver remained at the scene and exhibited no signs of impairment.
An investigation is underway.
