CHANDLER, AZ – The Arizona Department of Transportation blocked the majority of the eastbound portion of the Santan Freeway on Friday due to a vehicle accident.

AzDOT first announced the crash at 11:08 a.m. and said it took place along Kyrene Road. By 11:27 a.m., transportation crews were able to clear a portion of the road from crash debris, and only two left lanes and the HOV lane remained blocked.
By 12:39 p.m., traffic temporarily stopped, and by 12:41 p.m., the right lane reopened. All lanes reopened by 1:51 p.m.
Officials have not specified how the crash happened, listed the number of people and vehicles involved, or said whether anyone was injured.
