News: Alleged red light runner causes fatal crash in West Phoenix 

WEST PHOENIX, AZ – An alleged red light runner was responsible for a fatal crash that claimed the life of a 43-year-old woman on Thursday. 

The Arizona Family said the incident unfolded around 11 p.m., when a 21-year-old male driver ran a red light at 59th Avenue and McDowell Road and crashed into a white SUV. 

The SUV driver, identified as 43-year-old Cecilia Cisneros Cuadros, crashed into a 7-Eleven and a light pole and was left in critical condition. 

EMS crews rushed Cisneros Cuadros to a hospital, where she later died. 

Police said medics also transported the 21-year-old male suspect to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Police said the suspect showed signs of impairment, but have not confirmed any DUI charges for him.
