News: Alleged impaired driver fatally collides with another vehicle in San Tan Valley

SAN TAN VALLEY, AZ – According to AZFamily, a suspected impaired driver fatally collided with another vehicle at North Schnepf Road and Combs Road early Sunday morning.

The drivers of a Nissan Sentra and a Ford Fusion collided around 1:45 a.m.

First responders transported the Sentra driver to an area hospital, where she died. The Fusion driver was evaluated at the scene for minor injuries. A passenger from the Fusion was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities charged the Fusion driver, a 24-year-old woman, with manslaughter, DUI alcohol, aggravated assault, and endangerment.

The crash is under investigation by the Pinal County Regional Vehicular Crimes Task Force.
