PHOENIX, AZ – Two people were hospitalized when a suspected impaired driver rear-ended a patrol vehicle on I-17 near 7th Ave on Wednesday, according to CBS 5.
A police officer was transporting a female prisoner and was stopped at a red light when a female driver struck the rear of his vehicle around 2:30 a.m.
Rescue crews transported the officer and driver who hit him to an area hospital.
Authorities arrested the driver.
