News: Alleged DUI driver runs red light, causes crash in Tempe 

TEMPE, AZ – An alleged DUI driver ran a red light, which led to a two-vehicle collision with injuries in Tempe on Thursday, AZ Family reports. 

The collision occurred around midnight on Mill Avenue near U.S. 60. Preliminary details reveal that the alleged DUI driver struck another vehicle while turning left at a green light arrow. 

The drivers suffered serious injuries. 

EMS crews transported the driver, the sole occupant of their vehicle, to a hospital, where they are listed in stable condition. 

Police shut down Mill Avenue for the scene clean-up process and reopened all lanes around 9:15 a.m. 

The U.S. 60 on and off-ramps remained open to traffic.
