News: Alleged drunk driver crashes into patrol vehicle in Glendale

GLENDALE, AZ – A suspected impaired driver collided with a Maricopa County deputy’s patrol vehicle near 83rd Avenue and W Oregon Ave Monday, according to AZ Family.

The suspect rear-ended the deputy’s vehicle as it turned left onto W Oregon Ave around 2:30 a.m.

Police officers were called to the scene and found a woman in the vehicle’s passenger seat that struck the deputies. This initially made the officers believe the driver fled the area on foot. However, officers now say the woman was the driver that caused the crash.

Rescue crews transported the two deputies in the patrol vehicle and the woman driver to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
