PHOENIX, AZ – Six people were hurt following a two-vehicle collision near McDowell Rd and 51st Ave on Monday, according to CBS 5.
A man in his 40s was driving an SUV west on McDowell Rd when he strayed into the eastbound lanes of traffic and collided with a Jeep Wrangler driven by a man in his 40s around 5:30 p.m.
Rescue crews transported the SUV driver to an area hospital in critical condition. They also took the Wrangler driver and his three passengers, which were a woman in her 30s, two girls, and a boy, to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the incident. They do not know yet if impairment played a role in the crash.
