News: 3 hurt in collision between light rail train, car in North Phoenix

NORTH PHOENIX, AZ – Three people were injured in a collision between a light rail train and a car that happened in North Phoenix before noon on Friday. 

Phoenix Police told 12News that the collision occurred in the area of West Highland Avenue and North Central Avenue. 

A car driver and two train passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the emergency room for treatment. 

Police did not say if impairment played a role in the crash. 

A full investigation is underway.
