NORTH PHOENIX, AZ – Three people were sent to the hospital and two North Phoenix homes were damaged as a result of a plane collision on Wednesday.
ABC15 said the plane collision happened before 7:30 a.m. The Federal Aviation Administration revealed that a Piper PA-28 aircraft, coming from the Deer Valley Airport, experienced a mechanical issue, which is what caused it to tumble down and plow into the homes.
A fuel leak also occurred and was contained by hazmat crews.
First responders transported one home occupant (out of precaution) and the pilot and student to a hospital. Officials did not specify the severity of their injuries, but said all three are in stable condition.
Due to the damage to the homes, four people have been evacuated from their homes and are getting support from the Red Cross.
