News: 2-vehicle collision at Thomas and 35th injures 4

PHOENIX, AZ – Three women and one man went to the hospital early Tuesday morning after two vehicles collided at a busy intersection in the Maryvale area, reports Fox 10 Phoenix.

Police say the incident happened just before 4 a.m. near the intersection of North 35th Avenue and Thomas Road, which is just down the road from West Phoenix High School.

The investigation thus far indicates that an eastbound car carrying two occupants on Thomas Road collided with a northbound car carrying three occupants on 35th Avenue.

The three women from the northbound vehicle sustained critical injuries for which they were hospitalized.

Authorities say that the two men from the other vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries.

A full investigation of the incident is underway.
