News: 2, including Scottsdale officer hurt, in rear-end crash  

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – A Scottsdale police officer and another driver were injured in a rear-end crash that took place along Coronado Golf Course on Friday. 

According to Fox10Phoenix, the two-vehicle collision took place before 4:30 a.m. off Hayden & Thomas Roads. It was there that a driver, who operated a military-style SUV, rear-ended a parked police cruiser occupied by the Scottsdale police officer. 

The police officer was treated for his injuries at the scene, while the SUV driver was sent to a hospital for treatment. 

Authorities did not disclose the physical conditions of these drivers. 

Police are working to determine why the SUV driver lost control of their vehicle.
