PHOENIX, AZ – Two people were left in serious condition as a result of a multi-vehicle wreck that happened on State Route 51 North Wednesday.
According to AZ Family, the events unfolded after 12:30 p.m. when a Ford pickup truck struck a vehicle experiencing mechanical issues. A GMC Terrain SUV then crashed into the pickup truck. The impact of the collision caused the SUV to flip over several times and left one of the SUV occupants with life-threatening injuries.
Officials said one other person also sustained serious injuries, but did not specify what vehicle they traveled in. Officials shut down three right lanes for the clean-up process and investigation and reopened all lanes around 4 p.m.
