PHOENIX, AZ – One person died as a result of a pedestrian crash that took place on Cave Creek Road on Wednesday morning.
The pedestrian was struck by a gray vehicle around 5:30 a.m. south of Greenway Road, according to AZ Family. Preliminary details indicate that the pedestrian was attempting to walk across the road when they were struck by the vehicle.
The force of the collision caused the vehicle’s hood to pop up, and the pedestrian died from their injuries as a result. Authorities shut down north and southbound Cave Creek Road.
Police do not suspect impairment was a contributing factor in the collision.
