News: 1  killed, another injured in rear-end collision in Mesa 

MESA, AZ – One person lost their life and another person was injured in a rear-end collision that happened on U.S. 60 East on Tuesday.

Fox10Phoenix said the crash occurred before 2:30 a.m. near Lindsay Road. Preliminary details show that a car driver rear-ended a semi-truck carrying fuel. Moments later, two vehicles crashed into the car.

EMS crews rushed to the scene and transported the car driver to a hospital, where they died. One other individual was left with minor injuries.

Authorities shut down the eastbound Gilbert Road for several hours due to the scene clearance and investigation.

No other details, including the victim’s identity, have been disclosed.
