WEST PHOENIX, AZ – One person was killed, and another was hospitalized after a three-car collision in West Phoenix on Saturday.
Police told ArizonaFamily that the incident happened before 5 p.m. off 35th Avenue and Glendale Avenue. Police believe a 22-year-old man, operating a BMW sedan, was speeding on westbound Glendale Avenue when he crashed into a Toyota Camry coming out of a parking lot.
The impact of the collision caused the Toyota to spin on eastbound Glendale Avenue and collide with a Kia sedan.
EMS crews rushed the 22-year-old BMW male driver, Kevin Lyman, and the Kia male driver to a hospital. There, Lyman succumbed to his injuries, and the Kia driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police reported no serious injuries for the Toyota female driver and her two passengers, children.
A full investigation is underway.
