AVONDALE, AZ – One person died following a three-vehicle collision near S 113th Ave and W Buckeye Rd on Saturday, according to AZFamily.
Two drivers were heading west on Buckeye Rd at high speeds when they went into oncoming traffic and hit an eastbound vehicle around 6:30 a.m.
Rescue crews transported Stephen Stevens, 20, and another man from one of the wrong-way vehicles to an area hospital, where Stevens died. The other man is still in the hospital.
Crews shut down the area to process the scene. The area was reopened later on Saturday morning.
