TORTILLA FLATS, AZ – According to 12 News, a passenger died when the car they were in fell 300 feet off of AZ 88 into the bottom of a Canyon Saturday.
A Volkswagen Jetta was heading east on AZ 88 when they failed to negotiate a curve and rolled over into the canyon, ejecting a passenger in the process.
Rescue crews pronounced the passenger dead at the scene of the accident. It is unclear if the driver was hurt in the incident or if anyone else was in the Jetta.
