News: 1 child, 2 adults hurt following crash near Indian Springs Estates

PHOENIX, AZ – A 4-year-old girl and two adults were hurt in a fiery wreck at North 48th Avenue and West Happy Valley Road Friday morning, according to AZFamily.

A person was driving an SUV with a 4-year-old child in a booster seat east on West Happy Valley Road when the driver strayed into the westbound lanes and collided with another vehicle around 8 a.m. One of the vehicles then caught on fire.

Emergency crews extricated a man from the burning vehicle and transported him to an area hospital with minor injuries. The other driver also had minor injuries. The 4-year-old girl was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the collision.

The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the incident.
