NORTHEAST PHOENIX, AZ – A 77-year-old woman died days after a collision in Northeast Phoenix, 12News reports.
The woman was later identified as Leonor Gonzalez. Phoenix police believe that on Aug. 24, one driver failed to yield the right of way when entering the intersection of 19th Avenue and Thomas Road and collided with another vehicle.
The impact of the collision entrapped two people, who were extricated by fire crews. Those people and a third person were taken to a hospital.
One of the hospitalized individuals, Gonzalez, later died from her injuries on Aug. 30.
