PHOENIX, AZ – One person was injured as a result of a semi-truck rollover collision on Interstate 10 on Tuesday, according to ArizonaFamily.
The crash happened before 5 p.m. on the westbound lanes along the Queen Creek Road off-ramp. The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed the truck driver sustained minor injuries. The overturned semi-truck blocked the right lanes of traffic, prompting temporary road closures.
DPS and transportation crews left one westbound lane open to allow drivers to pass the scene, but meant heavy traffic delays three miles past Queen Creek Road.
By 6 a.m., officials removed the truck to the side of the road. The exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
