PHOENIX, AZ – A 54-year-old male motorcyclist lost his life after colliding with another vehicle on Thursday, AZFamily reports.
The collision occurred before 10:30 p.m. Preliminary details show that the motorcyclist was traveling on westbound Bethany Home and crashed into another vehicle along 15th Avenue.
Phoenix Police show that the other driver was trying to turn onto 15th Avenue when the collision happened.
The motorcyclist, identified as Jason Sutterfield, died from his injuries at the scene.
The other vehicle, a red Toyota 4Runner, was significantly damaged, and the motorcycle came to rest several feet away.
Officials shut down Bethany Home Road for several hours before reopening at 4:30 a.m.
