ELROY, AZ – Two people were hurt in a rollover crash on I-10 near mm 217 Monday, according to AZ Family.
Deputies with the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office attempted to pull over a red SUV when the driver sped off. The chase ended when the vehicle rolled over into oncoming traffic.
Rescue crews transported two of the four passengers to an area hospital. Authorities believe all four passengers were undocumented immigrants and the incident was a human smuggling attempt.
Authorities arrested the driver, who is a US citizen.
