LITTLEFIELD, AZ – One person is dead after a wrong-way driver collided head-on with another vehicle near mile marker 3 on Hwy 91 on Tuesday, according to 12 News.
Michael Doan, 46, was driving a Ford pickup truck north in the southbound lanes when he slammed into a Toyota pickup truck operated by Donald Alan Thurston, 59, around 6:30 p.m.
First responders pronounced Thurston dead at the scene. His passenger was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Following the collision, Doan fled the scene on foot and hid. Authorities located him and arrested him for second-degree murder and aggravated assault.
