WEST PHOENIX, AZ – Phoenix Police are investigating the details behind a deadly SUV-big rig crash that took place in West Phoenix, reported around 4 a.m. on Saturday.
Police told AZ Family that the SUV and a big truck crashed in the area of South 75th Avenue and West Sherman Street.
The impact of the collision left significant damage to the white SUV and entrapped or pinned the female SUV driver, prompting a response from fire crews.
Firefighters extricated the driver and said she died from her injuries at the scene.
The truck driver was uninjured, although their truck did sustain some damage.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
